Eastern State Tire has been serving Rockland County since 1978. Originally located in Tappan, NY, the company moved its operations to West Nyack in 1980.

Started by George Slavis, Eastern State Tire originated as a distributor of farm and truck tires across the eastern part of the U.S.

The retail end of the business began in 1979 with a gas and service station in Tappan. Business moved to Nanuet and settled on Route 59 in West Nyack. Eastern State survived through the infamous floods with four feet of water in the showroom. Operations were moved to West Nyack Road after being displaced by the Palisades Mall.

Eastern State Tire is now located at 210-230 West Nyack Road. With 10 service bays, two alignment machines, a NYS inspection machine and state of the art tire equipment, Eastern State's qualified staff of 25 employees can provide any automotive service a customer may require. Truck tire and road service are also available.

Eastern State has always been a family owned and operated business. George and Ellen Slavis have always stuck to the philosophy of "good service at a good price."
